 What is it? A decorative, passive, portable speaker set intended to be connected into the mini-plug stereo audio jack of an audio device.
This product consists of two small speakers, a stereo Y-cable, and a stereo mini plug for an audio device’s headphone jack. The two speaker enclosures are approximately 3 inches in diameter and the internal speakers themselves appear to be approximately 1.25 inches in diameter.
Please note that these are passive, non-powered speakers, so you don’t need to plug them into a power source or need batteries, but that also means that all volume control and amplification is predicated on the audio device that they are attached to. Think of it like a pair of headphones with slightly larger speakers.
Don’t expect these speakers to be especially “loud,” but rather, they are dependent upon the strength of signal from your iPod, MP3 Player, CD player, DVD player, etc. If your audio device is turned to its maximum you can hear the audio track being played at a moderate volume level from these speakers. If you require amplified sound (i.e. loud), you’ll need amplified speakers, which typically have a power cord or require batteries.
For sharing music with a friend from your iPod, or just listening to something at a moderate level without having to wear earphones we observed this product to work as advertised.
