 What is it? A crescent-shaped pillow.
This product consists of a crescent-shaped poly-down pillow, a matching white polyester/cotton pillow case, and an instruction pamphlet. The pillow is approximately 18 inches in length, and about 5 inches wide.

The basic idea of this product is to allow you to sleep on your side with this ergonomically curved pillow supporting the weight of your head, but does so in a way as not to have to press little if any of your face directly against it (see our video for illustration). The weight of your head is applied more in the region of your brow, ear, and jaw line. So if there is any potential skin damage that might result from pressure of your face against a traditional pillow, this pillow alleviates the occasion of that pressure occurring.
The pillow can also be used when sleeping on your back, positioned behind the neck, as some people have used rolled up towels in the past to support the cervical vertebrae. With the product laid flat, the crescent shape cradles up around the head, providing support.
A product like this might be very beneficial to someone who prefers to sleep on their side, but perhaps had surgery or an injury to their face or nose, or perhaps even painful dental procedure, whereby lying on a traditional pillow could be uncomfortable if not painful.
Due to the fact that a bed pillow is a very personal item that you grow used to over a long period of time, it can be expected that using a new pillow, especially one in a shape you are unfamiliar with, will take some time to get used to. So if you choose to try this product, expect a period of acclimation, which will vary from person to person depending on your personal preferences.
Therefore, in terms of its basic functionality when used as a pillow for sleeping, specifically one that will allow you to sleep on your side and keep your face off the pillow’s surface, we observed this product to work as advertised.
